The Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) is an annual film festival held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, typically for two weeks in late September and early October. Operated by the Greater Vancouver International Film Festival Society, it is recognized as one of the five largest film festivals in North America by admissions and number of films screened. VIFF showcases films from around 73 countries on multiple screens, with key programming platforms including East Asian, Canadian, and nonfiction films. Beyond film screenings, the festival also incorporates talks, workshops, performances, and other cinema-related special events. The VIFF Centre serves as its headquarters and also provides year-round programming.
