The International Uranium Film Festival was founded in Rio de Janeiro in 2010. It is dedicated to informing the public about uranium mining, nuclear power, nuclear weapons, and the effects of radioactivity through the medium of film. The festival, often referred to as "The Atomic Age Cinema Fest," aims to promote environmental justice and has since expanded to include screenings in various countries beyond Brazil, such as Germany, Portugal, India, and the United States. The non-profit "Yellow Archives" serves as the legal organizer of the festival.
