Ural Shorts is an international short film festival that operates with a quarterly Official Selection, featuring live screenings each summer, autumn, winter, and spring. The festival culminates in an Annual Award Event held in August in Nizhny Tagil, Russia, a city located on the border of Europe and Asia. This annual event includes competitive screenings, workshops, cultural and educational programs, and an awards ceremony. The festival accepts international short films up to 40 minutes in length across various main categories, including fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental films, with no restrictions on genre, production year, or country of origin. The Grand Prix winner receives a statuette, a diploma, and a cash prize of 100,000 rubles.
