The UAF Theatre and Film Freeze Over Pitch Fest is an event hosted by the University of Alaska Fairbanks Department of Theatre and Film, in collaboration with the UAF Film Club and the UAF Student Drama Association. The festival provides a platform for screenwriters and aspiring directors to pitch their original screenplays to an audience of film enthusiasts, peers, and industry professionals. Following the five-minute "elevator pitches," actors perform live, two-page readings from selected works. Outstanding projects may be optioned for production by the UAF Department of Theatre and Film, and UAF students are eligible for the Adrina Knutson Memorial Production Grant, which honors the legacy of former student Adrina Louise Knutson. The event is scheduled for November 21, 2025, at the Lee Salisbury Theatre.
