The International Turan Film Festival is an event primarily hosted by Ege University in İzmir, Turkey, in collaboration with institutions like the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, TÜRKSOY, and the General Directorate of Cinema. This festival aims to foster the development and international promotion of Turkic world cinema, serving as a platform to unite filmmakers, actors, critics, and artists, while showcasing the shared values and cultural richness of Turkic states and communities. The second edition of the festival, themed "Kızılelma" (Red Apple), took place from May 3rd to May 6th, 2025, in İzmir, featuring international competitions across categories such as documentary, animation, and feature films, attracting 1675 film applications from 80 countries. A separate "Turan Film Festival" is also noted as a student film festival by the Turan Film Academy in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
