The Tribeca Festival, formerly known as the Tribeca Film Festival until 2020, is an annual event established in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff to revitalize Lower Manhattan after the September 11 attacks. Held each spring in New York City, it showcases a diverse selection of programming including film, episodic content, talks, music, games, art, and immersive experiences. The festival hosts hundreds of screenings and awards independent artists across numerous competitive categories.
