Create Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival Laurels

The Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) is a globally recognized platform that celebrates and promotes diverse cinema, with a special focus on Nollywood, the Nigerian film industry. Established on October 1, 2016, TINFF is a Canadian Screen Award (CSA) qualifying festival, affirming its commitment to recognizing and elevating outstanding talent in film. The festival showcases a variety of films, including feature films, short films, documentaries, animations, and experimental projects, highlighting cultural diversity and powerful storytelling from Nollywood, Hollywood, Bollywood, and other international entries. It operates as a year-round award competition and live screening festival, with annual events held in Toronto that include screenings, conferences, and award ceremonies. TINFF also fosters opportunities for Canadian and international filmmakers, with a focus on Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) groups. The 9th annual TINFF is scheduled to take place from September 6–13, 2025, with free in-person screenings at various locations in Toronto and Brampton, Ontario.
