The Torino Underground Cinefest is an international film festival dedicated to independent cinema, held annually in Turin, Italy. The festival aims to promote and disseminate independent cinema in all its artistic forms, offering visibility to a diverse range of films. Organized by the Cultural Association SystemOut, in collaboration with the Association Baretti, the festival takes place at the Cinema Baretti. It features various sections for fiction and documentary feature films, short films, and even a "Slow (Ambient) Content" category. The festival awards cash prizes for the best feature film, best short film, and best documentary, along with special awards for best director, actor, actress, cinematographer, editor, and sound designer. Some selected films also have opportunities for distribution through partnerships with companies like Piano B and Sooner.de.
