The Thokoza Film Festival is a non-profit organization co-founded by Xolisa Mpafa and Abongile Ntsatha, dedicated to providing a platform for filmmakers in Thokoza, South Africa. The festival aims to empower filmmakers, promote diversity in storytelling, and foster a vibrant film community. Held annually over five days in Thokoza, it features screenings of short and feature-length films, workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. A notable initiative includes the High School Filmmaking Award, which supports and showcases young talent. The second annual festival is scheduled for October 28th to November 1st, 2025.
