The NOVA Fest, also known as the Northern Virginia International Film & Music Festival, is an annual event held in Northern Virginia and the greater Washington, DC metro area. Established in 2015, the festival features film screenings, musical performances, seminars, panels, and parties, culminating in an awards ceremony. It accepts submissions for narrative, documentary, screenplay, teleplay, music video, and art & design categories, with a focus on celebrating filmmakers, screenwriters, and musicians. The festival has hosted films from over 35 countries and honored industry figures such as Eduardo Sanchez, Michael Uslan, and Russell Williams II. It also includes a film market, the CAPITAL FILM MARKET, which connects filmmakers with sales agents and buyers from platforms like Netflix and Hulu.
