The Tampere Film Festival, held annually in early March in Tampere, Finland, is recognized as one of the most important European short film festivals and the oldest short film festival in the Nordic countries. Accredited by the film producers' society FIAPF, it screens approximately 400-500 films across more than a hundred screenings each year. The festival features both international and national short film competitions, offering platforms for both established and emerging filmmakers, and is an Oscar®, BAFTA, and EFA qualifying festival. In addition to film screenings, it hosts events for film industry professionals and the public, including seminars, workshops, and panel discussions.
