The Toji Somon International Film Festival is an event organized by the state-run Tajikfilm, dedicated to celebrating cinema from around the world and promoting Tajik cinema globally. The festival is held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, with screenings also extending to regions like Sughd, Khatlon, and the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. First held in 2023, the festival takes place every two years and coincides with Tajik Cinema Day, celebrated annually on October 16. It features competition films, international film forums, and master classes, aiming to support creative youth, facilitate professional development, and strengthen international cultural ties. The second edition in 2025 featured over 40 films from 15 countries and included "Russian Cinema Days" with screenings of recent Russian films.
