The Sustainability Film Series Student Film Showcase is an event where students from the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa present their sustainability-themed short films. It is part of the larger Sustainability Film Series, which was established in 2023 through a collaboration between the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Institute for Sustainability and Resilience (ISR), the Hawaiʻi Climate Commission, the Better Tomorrow Speaker Series, and the Honolulu Museum of Art. This annual series aims to explore contemporary issues at the intersection of human and natural environments through films and public conversations, with themes often linked to Hawaiʻi and the Pacific region.
