The St. Louis International Film Festival (SLIFF), also known as Cinema St. Louis, is an annual film festival held in St. Louis, Missouri, which began in 1992. Established to advance film as an art form, its mission is to enhance cultural diversity by presenting American independent productions, international films, and high-quality studio films, particularly those that might not otherwise screen in St. Louis. The festival screens approximately 300 films over a period of 10 days, typically in November. SLIFF is an Academy-sanctioned qualifying festival for both narrative and documentary short subjects, with winners in several short film categories eligible for Oscar® consideration.
