The Sport Film Festival Rotterdam is an international festival dedicated to showcasing sports films and documentaries, aiming to increase their visibility and contribute to the development of the sports film industry. Organized by the Sports Films Promotion Foundation, the festival features a program of high-quality films, prestigious award shows, insightful talk shows, and related events. It seeks to engage, inspire, and activate audiences by presenting diverse sports narratives, including both professional and amateur sports, and highlighting the societal impact of sports. The festival's awards include various international categories, with winners potentially being selected for the Sport Movies & TV – Milano International FICTS Fest, a global championship for sports films. The inaugural edition took place in April 2015, and it has since featured a range of films covering sports such as cycling, football, surfing, and basketball, alongside appearances by notable figures from the sports and film worlds.
