The Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) is Singapore's longest-running film festival, established in 1987. It aims to showcase international films and provide a global platform for Singaporean cinema, with a particular focus on groundbreaking Asian cinema and the promotion of Southeast Asian films. The festival features the Silver Screen Awards, which notably introduced a specific Asian film competition in 1991, making it the first international film festival to do so. The 36th edition of the SGIFF is scheduled to be held from November 26 to December 7, 2025.
