Show Me Shorts is Aotearoa New Zealand's leading international short film festival, established in Auckland in 2006. The festival's mission is to connect New Zealand audiences with short films and champion Aotearoa New Zealand short filmmakers. Each year, it showcases a curated selection of short films from New Zealand and around the world, including music videos, across numerous cinema venues nationwide, primarily in October. Show Me Shorts is also New Zealand's first Academy Awards-accredited festival, granting Oscar eligibility to the winners of its Best New Zealand Film and Best International Film awards. The festival also provides professional development and networking opportunities for filmmakers.
