SGAE, or the Sociedad General de Autores y Editores, is a private, non-profit organization in Spain dedicated to the collective management and defense of intellectual property rights for authors and publishers across various artistic disciplines, including audiovisual works. While not a film festival itself, SGAE actively collaborates with and supports numerous film festivals and cinematic events. For example, it partners with the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, D'A Film Festival Barcelona, and has been associated with the SCAD Savannah Film Festival. SGAE also organizes initiatives such as "SGAE Documental," a program that promotes Spanish documentary films by offering exhibition opportunities in various cities.
