The Sauti Zetu Film Festival, meaning "Our Voices" in English, is an annual cinematic event organized by Media for Development and Advocacy (MEDEA Tanzania) that promotes filmmaking from a human rights perspective across Eastern and Southern Africa. The festival serves as a platform to celebrate, advocate for, and recognize films that address human rights issues, aiming to enhance community understanding and foster the growth of the local film industry. Established in 2023, the festival features film screenings, panel discussions, and workshops, focusing on themes such as freedom of expression, youth involvement in governance, and gender equality. In its third edition, the festival plans a "Caravan Edition" to reach marginalized communities in various regions of Tanzania, bringing cinema directly to the people.
