The Sarajevo Film Festival is the premier and largest film festival in Southeast Europe, and one of the largest in Europe. Founded in Sarajevo in 1995 during the Bosnian War, the festival is held annually in August and showcases a diverse selection of feature and short films from around the world. It presents various awards, including the prestigious Heart of Sarajevo for Best Feature Film. The festival also includes "Talents Sarajevo," an educational and networking program for emerging film professionals from Southeast Europe, in cooperation with the Berlin International Film Festival. Jovan Marjanović is the current director of the festival.
