The Heatwave Media and Film Festival is an annual event hosted by the Department of Mass Communication at Sam Houston State University. It showcases the creative talents of SHSU students in film, public relations, advertising, journalism, emerging media, and broadcast production, while also accepting submissions from Texas college students, Texas high school students, and independent filmmakers.
