The Salzburg Bergfilmfestival, also known as "Abenteuer Berg – Abenteuer Film" (Adventure Mountain – Adventure Film), is an annual film festival held in Salzburg, Austria, primarily at DAS KINO film center. Established in 1994, the festival celebrates mountain culture and adventure through film, lectures, and discussions, drawing inspiration from the Trento Film Festival. It showcases films related to alpinism, outdoor sports, and mountain life, often featuring top mountaineers and artists. The festival celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2024 and in 2025, the 31st edition is scheduled to take place from November 12 to 23. A key feature is the "Local Heroes Award" for young filmmakers from Salzburg, initiated in its later years.
