The Recife Cinema Festival, also known as Cine-PE or Recife Audiovisual Festival, is a competitive film and audiovisual festival held in Recife, Brazil. Founded in 1997 by Alfredo and Sandra Bertini, it is dedicated to showcasing Brazilian and state productions of feature and short films, as well as videos and documentaries. The festival typically takes place between late April and May at the Conventions Center of Recife, featuring seminars, workshops, and exhibitions, and attracts numerous cinema professionals and enthusiasts. Awards, including the Calunga trophy, are presented to films across various categories.
