The Quinzaine des cinéastes, formerly known as the Directors' Fortnight (Quinzaine des réalisateurs), is an independent section held in parallel to the Cannes Film Festival. Established in 1969 by the Société des réalisateurs de films (SRF) following the events of May 1968, its mission is to discover and showcase unique and singular cinematic works from diverse backgrounds, fostering new talents. The name was changed in June 2022 to "Quinzaine des cinéastes" to promote inclusivity. Julien Rejl currently serves as its General Delegate.
