The Queer Expression Film Fest (QE) is an annual celebration of global LGBTQ+ cinema, showcasing a diverse array of short films, mid-length features, and full-length films that explore queer life and experiences worldwide. Founded in 2012 as Queer Bits, it evolved into Pride Film Fest and was rebranded as Queer Expression in 2022, with Open Space Arts as its sponsor. Now in its 11th or 12th year, the festival operates as a year-round hybrid event, offering both in-person screenings, often at Facets in Chicago, and streaming programs. QE is dedicated to amplifying diverse voices within the LGBTQ+ community and features films from various countries, encompassing narratives, documentaries, music, dance videos, and animations.
