The Queer East Film Festival is a cross-disciplinary festival that showcases boundary-pushing LGBTQ+ cinema, live arts, and moving image work from East and Southeast Asia and its diaspora communities. Established in 2020, the festival was created to address the systemic lack of Asian representation in film and arts, providing a platform to explore the contemporary queer landscape across the region. While primarily hosted in venues across London, the festival also undertakes a nationwide tour within the UK. It has screened films in 42 venues across 23 cities in the UK, Europe, and beyond.
