The Puerto Rico Horror Film Fest was an annual international film festival in Puerto Rico dedicated to horror and fantastic cinema. Established in 2007, it focused on genres such as sci-fi, thriller, fantasy, dark humor, bizarre, horror, anime, adventure, virtual reality, and animation in both short and feature films. The festival has since evolved and transitioned into the Lusca Fantastic Film Fest (also known as LUSCA Caribbean International Fantastic Film Fest), expanding its scope while maintaining its commitment to genre films. Held primarily in the San Juan metropolitan area and other venues across the island, it has been recognized as one of Latin America's premier horror film festivals.
