The Production Institute Film Showcase is an event that celebrates short films created by participants of the Production Institute, a program offered by the Digital Storytelling Initiative at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts at the University of Chicago, in partnership with the Community Film Workshop of Chicago. This showcase features original short films, typically narrative and documentary projects, produced by emerging media makers from South Side communities who undergo intensive production training. The event includes screenings, Q&A sessions with the filmmakers, and a reception.
