The Iris Prize LGBTQ+ Film Festival, often referred to simply as Iris Prize, is an annual film festival held in Cardiff, Wales, celebrating global LGBTQ+ storytelling. Established in 2007, it features a program of short and feature films, panel discussions, and special events. At its core is the Iris Prize, supported by the Michael Bishop Foundation, which is the world's largest short film prize at £40,000, awarded to enable the winner to create their next LGBTQ+ short film in Cardiff. The festival is BAFTA and BIFA qualifying for short films. Separately, the Prix Iris (formerly Prix Jutra) are annual film awards presented by Québec Cinéma to honor achievements in Quebec cinema, including categories such as Best First Film and Most Successful Short Film Outside Quebec.
