Founded in 2005 (previously as the Sweet Auburn International Film Festival in 2006), it has grown into one of the Southeast's premier festivals, known for championing diversity and fostering innovation within the film industry. The festival typically includes film screenings, workshops, panels, pitch sessions, and networking events, serving as a platform for filmmakers, actors, and creators. In 2024, the festival partnered with the East Point Convention and Visitors Bureau and rebranded as the East Point Peachtree International Film Festival (EPIFF), moving its events to East Point, Georgia.
