The Palm Springs International ShortFest, also known as the Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films, is one of the largest showcases of short-form cinema in North America. Held annually in Palm Springs, California, this seven-day competitive festival is Academy Award, BAFTA, and Goya-qualifying, screening hundreds of shorts from approximately 60 countries each year. It accepts both fiction and non-fiction shorts up to 40 minutes in duration across categories such as Animation, Documentary, and Live-Action. Beyond screenings, ShortFest also offers a program of seminars, master classes, panels, and roundtable discussions.
