Founded in 2004 by a group of learning disabled artists affiliated with the non-profit organization Carousel, the festival aims to address the lack of representation and opportunities for publicly screening their work. Held in Brighton and Lewes in East Sussex, UK, the festival screens a diverse range of genres, from comedy and sci-fi to documentary, and has been a BAFTA-qualifying festival since 2019 for both the British Short Film and British Short Animation Awards.
