Create Newport Beach Film Festival Laurels

The Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) is an annual cinema event held in Newport Beach, California, established in 1999. While historically held in late April, the festival permanently shifted its dates to October in 2022, positioning itself for Oscar season. Recognized as a significant international film event in coastal Southern California, it attracts over 50,000 attendees to Orange County. The NBFF screens an international selection of over 300 to 350 films, encompassing feature-length narratives, documentaries, shorts, animated, and student films. The festival also features world, North American, U.S., and West Coast premieres, alongside an International Spotlight Series that celebrates foreign-language cinema. Beyond screenings, the eight-day event includes red carpet premieres, gala celebrations, filmmaker receptions, Q&A sessions, industry seminars, musical performances, and awards for jury and audience favorites. Additionally, the NBFF maintains a community outreach program, partnering with numerous non-profit organizations to raise awareness for various causes through film.
