The New York International Screenwriting Awards (NYISA) is a global screenplay competition founded in 2015 by Emine Dursun, a New York-based screenwriter and Sundance Alumna. It aims to connect aspiring screenwriters with the U.S. film industry, offering opportunities such as pitching to production companies, access to screenwriting software, and workshops on screenwriting. The competition is judged by industry professionals including producers, script doctors, directors, actors, and screenwriters, and winners receive various industry tools and connections. An annual red-carpet award ceremony and networking event is held in New York City.
