The Muyuna Festival de Cine Selvático Flotante (Muyuna Floating Jungle Film Festival) is an international film festival founded in Iquitos, Peru, with the mission of intertwining cinema, community, and climate action in the Amazon. The festival aims to amplify narratives from the jungle, empower Indigenous creators, and defend territories through audiovisual sovereignty, promoting reflection on climate justice, cultural memory, and shared struggles. It features screenings in various venues, including a floating stage on the river, and offers activities such as film labs, community cinema workshops, and masterclasses. The festival prioritizes communal and decolonial perspectives, as well as films made with ethical, collaborative, and culturally rooted approaches.
