Millennium Docs Against Gravity is the largest documentary film festival in Poland and the biggest film festival in the country. It is notable as the only European film festival that takes place simultaneously in multiple cities, including Warsaw, Wrocław, Gdynia, Poznań, Katowice, Lublin, Bydgoszcz, and Łódź. The festival, which was formerly known as Planete Doc Review, has been credited with popularizing documentary films in Poland. Millennium Docs Against Gravity screens feature-length documentaries and offers several awards, including the Millennium Bank Award (Grand Prix). It is a member of the Doc Alliance network and has been recognized by the European Film Academy, allowing it to qualify films for the European Film Award. Furthermore, it qualifies films for the Oscar® in the Best Feature-Length Documentary Film category. The festival operates in a hybrid format, offering both in-cinema and online editions, and maintains a permanent VOD platform.
