The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), known in Polish as Międzynarodowy Festiwal Filmowy w Kairze, is an annual internationally accredited film festival held in Cairo, Egypt. Established in 1976, it holds the distinction of being the first international film festival in the Middle East and Africa, and the only one in these regions accredited as Category A by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF). The festival aims to enhance cinematic appreciation, strengthen artistic ties between countries, and foster connections among film professionals from diverse cultures, thereby promoting the film industry in Egypt and the wider Arab world. It features various sections and competitions, including official selections for feature and documentary films, and awards such as the Golden Pyramid for best film.
