The Mesingana Kvaka Short Film Festival is an international cultural event held in Srebrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, focusing on short films. The festival aims to promote cinematic arts and provide a platform for new perspectives and young filmmakers in the region. Its inaugural edition, featuring 21 competitive films from 11 countries, is scheduled to take place from September 19 to 21. The name "Mesingana Kvaka" translates to "The Brass Doorknob," symbolizing the opening of new doors to cinema in Srebrenica. The festival is organized by a group of local film and culture enthusiasts with the support of the Srebrenica Tourist Organization, Gross DOO Gradiška, and OSCE.
