The Manhattan Film Festival (MFF) is an annual film festival established in 2006 by filmmakers Philip J. Nelson and Jose Ruiz Jr. The festival celebrates independent voices, showcasing features, shorts, documentaries, television, web, and new media. It has been recognized by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the "Coolest Film Festivals in the World" and among "25 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee." The MFF frequently takes place at Cinema Village, an independent cinema near Union Square in New York City.
