MakeDox is an international creative documentary film festival established in Skopje, North Macedonia, in 2010. Organized by the Association MAKEDOX, the festival focuses on promoting creative documentary films and fostering an environment for the exchange of knowledge and experience in documentary creation. It features competitive sections for various lengths and types of documentaries, including a main program ("Onion"), a newcomers program ("Young Onion"), a student film program ("Onion Seed"), and a short film program ("Sliced Onion"). Beyond film screenings, MakeDox also includes exhibitions, debates, workshops, master classes, and music events, often utilizing the historic 16th-century Caravan Serai-Kurshumli An as a unique open-air screening venue. The festival also includes a "MakeDox Traveling Cinema" which brings the festival to villages across North Macedonia.
