The Los Angeles Chinese Film Festival (LACFF) is an annual event dedicated to identifying and promoting high-quality films focused on Chinese culture and by Chinese linguistic heritage filmmakers, aiming to foster cultural diversity. Its mission includes advancing the understanding of contemporary Chinese film culture in Los Angeles and North America, while also building a platform for Chinese filmmakers and audiences. The festival features film screenings, panels, workshops, networking events, and an annual Screenwriting Competition and Summit. Films eligible for competition typically have a primary Chinese language, focus on the Chinese world, or have a main creative team of Chinese or Chinese descent.
