The Kraków Film Festival, established in 1961, is one of Europe's oldest events dedicated to documentary, animation, and other short film forms. Held annually in Kraków, Poland, it features four main competitions: documentary, DocFilmMusic, short film, and a Polish competition. The festival is accredited by FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Associations) and is one of only five worldwide to be accredited for both documentary and short film festivals. It is also a qualifying festival for the Academy Awards in four categories, and recommends films for the European Film Awards and BAFTA Awards. Beyond screenings, the festival includes industry events, exhibitions, concerts, and meetings with filmmakers.
