The Kampala Slum Mobile Cinema Outreach is a project and festival that brings free open-air film screenings to underserved communities in slums in Kampala and Entebbe, Uganda. Utilizing a custom-designed mobile cinema truck, the initiative focuses on human rights-related themes through documentaries, fiction films, and shorts, followed by facilitated debates and discussions to encourage dialogue and community participation. The festival also includes awards for various categories such as Best Film on Human Rights, Audience Choice, and Best Local Feature Film.
