The Kampala Slum Mobile Cinema Festival is an outreach project that utilizes a custom-designed mobile cinema truck to bring entertainment, education, and cultural exchange opportunities to underserved communities in Uganda, specifically in slums within Kampala and Entebbe. Organized by Kampala Slum Mobile Cinema Limited, the initiative focuses on free open-air screenings of documentaries, fiction films, and shorts centered on human rights-related themes. Each screening is followed by discussions and debates to encourage dialogue, community participation, and to empower individuals with knowledge and advocacy tools. The festival is dedicated to amplifying marginalized voices and fostering a more equitable society.
