The Kalimantan Indigenous Film Festival (KIFF), also known as the Kalimantan International Indigenous Film Festival (KIIFF), is an event held in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia, dedicated to showcasing films that address indigenous issues and provide a platform for Indigenous Peoples. Established in 2015 and organized by the Ranu Welum Foundation, the festival has grown from a local initiative to an international event, aiming to amplify the voices of marginalized communities through film. It features documentaries and other films by indigenous filmmakers from Kalimantan, Indonesia, and other countries, focusing on themes such as indigenous wisdom, environmental protection, land rights, and cultural preservation. The festival often coincides with the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples and includes film screenings, international seminars, panel discussions, workshops, and cultural performances.
