The International Film Festival of Thrissur (IFFT) is an annual film festival held in Thrissur, Kerala, India. It commenced in August 2004 as a collaborative effort between Thrissur Chalachitra Kendram, Thrissur Corporation, Thrissur Jilla panchayath, Kerala State Film Development Corporation, and the Federation of Film Societies of India. Recognized as the second-largest film festival in Kerala, IFFT screens a variety of films, including masters and classics, children's films, and contemporary world cinema, across categories such as Asian, Indian, and Malayalam competitions. The festival also uniquely presents awards to new directors, fostering emerging talent in Indian cinema.
