Create International Cycling Film Festival Laurels

The International Cycling Film Festival (ICFF) is an independent, non-profit film festival established in December 2005 in Bochum, Germany, by Gernot Mühge, chairman of the cycling club Team Hollandse Frietjes. The festival's mission is to enhance international cooperation in art film and bicycle culture, fostering interaction between filmmakers and cyclists worldwide. Initially launched in September 2006 as the "International Cycling Video Festival," it was renamed in 2009. The ICFF is held annually in Germany (including Herne, Nuremberg, and Wiesbaden), Poland, Kosovo, and the Netherlands, and has screened over 350 short films from more than 30 countries since its debut. Each year, approximately 20 films compete for awards, including the Goldene Kurbel and audience awards, with the Goldene Kurbel recognized as the oldest film prize for cycling films globally. The festival is organized by the European Office for Film Art and Bicycle Culture e. V. Herne.
