The Independent Filmmakers Showcase (IFS) is an annual film festival based in Los Angeles, dedicated to screening and awarding independent films submitted throughout the year. Founded in the early 1990s, the IFS has grown into a prominent organization with a 150-person membership, hosting monthly and semi-annual screenings, as well as spotlight showcase festivals. The IFS Film Festival, its flagship event, features works from emerging and established filmmakers, with past screenings including films by Lars von Trier, Harmony Korine, and Quentin Tarantino. The festival is known for its democratic judging process, involving over 80 members at private screenings, and has showcased films from 25 countries.
