The Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival (Ji.hlava IDFF) is a prominent documentary film festival held annually in Jihlava, Czech Republic, typically in late October. Established in 1997 by a group of high school students, it has grown to become a key European festival and the largest festival of auteur documentary cinema in Central and Eastern Europe. The festival focuses on creative documentary films, particularly those from Central and Eastern Europe, and highlights socially relevant projects with innovative style and imagery. Ji.hlava IDFF is also a founding member of Doc Alliance, a coalition of European documentary film festivals, and offers industry events for film professionals.
