The HollyShorts Film Festival is an annual, Academy Awards-qualifying independent short film festival held in Hollywood, California. Established in 2005, it showcases a diverse range of short films, typically 40 minutes or less, from filmmakers worldwide. The festival is dedicated to advancing filmmakers through screenings, Q&A sessions, networking events, panels, and a short film market. It has been recognized by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the top festivals for filmmakers. An official offshoot, the HollyShorts Comedy Film Festival, was established in 2016 to focus exclusively on comedic storytelling.
